Mission/Vision Statement
The center's vision is to provide state of the art oral and maxillofacial surgery of the highest quality to the regional area. Our purpose is to improve the health and quality of life of our patients.
Our method of accomplishing these goals is to improve our patient's educational level and assist them with needed procedures in the oral and facial area. All of the procedures and advice given to our patients will be directed at improving their long term quality of life. Examples include better oral health, a more attractive smile or face, encouragement to live a healthy lifestyle, advice to reduce age-related illness, and anti-aging tips.
This vision will be carried out in an ethical manner with the patient's best interest always in highest consideration by Dr. Collins and his staff.
Background Information
After dental school, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Collins is fully trained in all aspects of modern facial cosmetic surgery, major facial reconstructive surgery and oral surgery. His training, professional memberships and experience are unique to this area of the country.
Maxillofacial Surgery Center of Central Arkansas and Dr. Mitchell Collins feel like we can provide you the highest quality of care in the area for the following reasons:
- Dr. Collins has practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery exclusively in Conway for greater than a decade.
- Dr. Collins holds both medical and dental degrees.
- Dr. Collins is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a fellow in the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
- Our office is located at Conway Regional Medical Center, which would provide us immediate emergency assistance in the case of a medical problem.
- Dr. Collins employs a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who administers anesthesia.
- All of Dr. Collins' surgical assistants are certified in both Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- All surgical assistants are also required to complete an anesthesia assistants course sponsored by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
- A continuous IV infusion is used during your anesthesia, which is a basic standard of care for general anesthesia. This is an uncommon finding in most oral surgery practices.
- During your anesthesia, continuous oxygen reading, blood pressure, and heart rhythms are monitored by trained staff and an anesthesia specialist.
Surgical Staff
Dr. Collins employs a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthestist(CRNA) to administer IV sedation and general anesthesia within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Our surgical staff at Maxillofacial Surgery Center are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of IV sedation and surgery. We also have a trained nurse to assist in surgery. All surgical staff are certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Administrative Staff
All administrative personnel are well-versed in health and insurance policies, as well as the day to day operations of the practice. Each staff member is highly qualified and trained to assist you with any questions or concerns you have regarding insurance or practice policies.

Our practice has grown because of our patient’s kind referrals. We encourage you to recommend our office to your family and friends. We always have time to care for a new patient.
If you have been referred by your dentist, he or she will promptly receive a letter outlining our findings and the course of treatment. We encourage you to return to your dentist after our specialized care is complete.
